Novel thiophene, pyrimidine, 1,3-thiazole, 1,3,4-thiadiazole,thieno[2,3-]pyrimidine, and thiazolo[3,2-]pyrimidine derivatives bearing pyridine moiety were synthesized starting from the readily accessible 3-oxo--(pyridin-2-yl)butanamide.
Abstract: Thecompound 2-[2-(ethylamino-4-methylphenylaminothiazol)-5-oyl]benzothiazole was characterized by IR spectral data. The geometry of the molecule was investigated and optimized with the help of B3LYP/6-311G density functional theory (DFT) method using Gaussian 09' software package. The calculated geometries such as bond lengths,bond angle, dihedral angle atomic charges and intensities of Vibrational bonds of the titled compound were investigated. The IR spectra are obtained and assigned by vibrational analysis and found to be reliable compared with the experimental results. The calculated Homo and LUMO energy gaps also confirm that charge transfer occurs within the molecule...

Abstract: Various substituted 3,4 -dihydropyrimidin-2(1H)-thiones have been synthesized by conventional heating method. 2—amino thiadizole was condensed with substituted derivatives of 3,4 -dihydropyrimidin-2(1H)-thiones to get the final product. Synthesized compounds were characterized by IR, GCMS and NMR mass spectral data.
Abstract: A laboratory incubation experiment was conducted with deltamethrin a synthetic pyrethroid insecticide, and profenofos an organophosphate insecticide to study their influence at 0, 5, 10, 15, 20, 50 and 100 ppm levels of fortification against the microbial activities of soil micro-organisms which is measured in terms of CO2 evolved in the incubation chamber. The amount of CO2 evolved was calculated by standard formula. Carbon dioxide evolved from soil is positively related with the microbial population and their activity in the soil. The result indicated the trend of gradual decrease from 5.01 and 5.24 mg/g against the fortification range of 5 to 20 ppm with deltamethrin and from 4.1to 4.42 with profenofos................
Abstract: This research manuscript describes simple yet sensitive, speedy, accurate and precise HPLC method for the analysis of Amitriptyline HCl in tablet form. The sample was analyzed by HPLC instrument using inertsil ODS 3V (150 mm X 4.6 mm, 5 μm Make, GL science) column as stationary phase and Phosphate Buffer: Acetonitrile(55:45 % v/v) as a mobile phase (where PH of the buffer was adjusted to 2.5 by using diluted ortho phosphoric acid) at a flow rate of 1.0 ml/min. UV detector was used for the detection at 254 nm. The retention time for Amitryptiline HCl was found about 4 minute. The linearity for the drug was obtained for the concentration of 45, 80, 100, 120 & 150μg/ml. This method would be successfully applied to pharmaceutical formulations because no significant interferences from tablet................

Abstract: Nanocrystalline Co0.2Zn0.8Fe2O4 sample was prepared by Co-precipitation method and sintered at 573K. X-ray and Transmission electron microscopy show that the samples are nanocrystalline spinel oxides with an average crystallite size of about 4 nm. Magnetization measurements at 0.1 T show that the Co0.2Zn0.8Fe2O4 is superparamagnetic having a blocking temperature 73K. The mössbauer spectra of Co0.2Zn0.8Fe2O4 sample measured at 55K, 125K and 303K. The spectrum at 55K and show hyperfine split sextet patterns. When the temperature is increased to 125K, a paramagnetic doublet appears at the centre of the sextet. At 303K also only the paramagnetic doublet is present. These results indicate that Co0.2Zn0.8Fe2O4 is superparamagnetic below 73K. This has also been indicated in the magnetization measurements.
