Practical use of Recombinant DNA technology in the synthesis of human insulin requires millions of copies of the bacteria whose plasmid has been combined with the insulin gene in order to yield insulin.
Please don't take it as gospel. We've been over and over it and are relatively confident in our specifications - and we hear that several people have used it successfully so you should be good. The BOM assumes that you get the "extra parts kit" from Synthesis Tech. Synthesis Technology offers some parts like pots and knobs at particularly good prices... these options are offered in the BOM.
The digital oscillator E352 Cloud Terrarium combines the synthesis algorithms of E340 Cloud Generator and E350 Morphing Terrarium in one module. Compared to the classics, the new circuit features a multitude of improvements, for instance a more modern processor, waveforms with higher resolution, wavetable import options and a color TFT display.
The Morphing Terrarium algorithms are specialized in wavetable synthesis. All in all, 192 basic waveforms are available. Via a microSD card slot, users can import their own wavetables. While working with its cloud algorithms, the E352 combines eight waveforms / wavetables to create sound. A LFO mode allows users to employ the module as a complex CV source. The Cloud Terrarium's results range from soft to harsh, sometimes metallic sounds. Supersaw rave pads and gigantic walls of sound can be produced easily as well.
In 2008 (or about that time), Synthesis Technology stopped producing full-blown kits, and moved toward what Paul calls "2.0" (two-dot-oh) DIY. This assumes the builder will buy certain parts from Synthesis Technology - PCB, Panel, and in some cases a Special Parts Kit of the particularly hard to find parts - and will get the rest of the parts from Mouser or Digikey or - well - wherever.
The E950 is a DSP-based VCO that combines the famous "smooth morphing" of the E350 Morphing Terrarium with Texas Instruments' fully licensed LPS speech synthesis technology.
It has both ROM banks of speech data as well as two banks of Morphin Terrarium's wavetables and it's bending algorithms emulate a circuit bent speech toy for children.
The E355 is a dual wavetable LFO that can create ten thousand waveforms with the unique morphing technology as known from the Morphing Terrarium. The two LFOs are not entirely independent as LFO1 is rather the master LFO and the other can have the same frequency, waveform and/or phase, depending on the setting. All parametes are voltage controllable.
Four pack of high-end oscillators – The E370 Quad Morphing VCO is composed of four top-class oscillators with wavetable, FM and cloud synthesis. It uses improved algorithms from the E350 Morphing Terrarium, E340 Cloud Generator and the E330 Multimode VCO. The oscillators can be employed separately, as a polyphonic setup, in packs of two or as one mighty unison voice. Additionally, there is a chord mode. 28 potentiometers, 24 connectors, a rotary encoder with click function, a pin sharp TFT display and “shallow depth” menu structures make editing a breeze. – There is even an oscilloscope mode built-in. Via the E370’s MicroSD card slot, it is possible to manage presets and feed the module with self-made wavetables. - A masterpiece!
