My estimate of our cancer patients was almost completely on target, with 78% falling into the Group I category. What did surprise me was that more of these were Sympathetics (43%) than Slow Oxidizers (35%). There is a prevailing assumption in the alternative health community that cancer is associated with excess acidity, though the parameters of that acidity (i.e. which physiological system is affected) is rarely defined. At the tissue level, cancer cells do indeed typically produce excess acid (in the form of lactic acid), which might be expected to result in a compensatory alkalinity in the blood pH. The 35% of cancer patients in our survey who are Slow Oxidizers do indeed have an alkaline blood pH, but the larger number of Sympathetics (43%) have acid blood. (Keep in mind that we use the terms acid and alkaline relative to the ideal blood pH of 7.46, which is an inherently mild alkaline level; all blood is alkaline in the absolute sense).

I loved reading and appreciate the info posted on the digestive system , iv skipped through all the posts and have enjoyed the views people have on diet, however i came across this site as im desperately trying to control my stomach ache and wierd bowel movements. I really dont know what to eat anymore im due to have my first endoscopy in two weeks, after a year of feeling ill. Iv tried eating and eliminating foods but still im confused, i agree that veg and grains seem to rot in my body give off gas lots of it like a human compost machine , however meat seems to lay heavy in my stomach for days and i feel like my ribcage is expanding it hurts me for days, then theres the dairy milk eggs give me the runs quite bad the next day??? I cut out wheat n grains from cereal first as granolla made me feel ill. Yards of cloggy poo can come out in long flat strips r i have small nuggets covered in a fatty glue stuff, (sorry)I also have headaches daily, fatigue i can just go like that to sleep any time for like 2 hours each time usually after eating, pains in my legs , toothach regular, need to poo after everytime i eat sometimess its clear like egg white very rarely normal!!! HELP. What can i do what can i eat recent blood tests show low ferritin levels which are something to do with iron , to my knowledge is from green veg! Oh maybe i will just eat the rice krispies with lactose free milk thats about the only food my body can handle , has anyonde felt like this and if so have you got any advice on what to eat , i would really really appreciate any advice , cheers in advance and sorry for the discriotions on poo ! 🙁

Why I can never eat onions or garlic again Animal, vegetable, miserable

This analysis and discussion activity is designed to develop students' understanding of the scientific process by having them design an experiment to test a hypothesis, compare their experimental design with the design of a research study that tested the same hypothesis, evaluate research evidence concerning two hypothesized effects of carbohydrate consumption, evaluate the pros and cons of experimental vs. observational research studies, and finally use what they have learned to revise a standard diagram of the scientific method to make it more accurate, complete and realistic.

Students analyze evidence to evaluate four hypotheses about where a plant’s mass comes from. For example, students analyze Helmont’s classic experiment, and evaluate whether his interpretation was supported by his evidence. Thus, students engage in scientific practices as they learn that plants consist mainly of water and organic molecules and most of the mass of organic molecules consists of carbon and oxygen atoms originally contained in carbon dioxide molecules from the air. What’s so special about that one cliff? What’s crucial here is that the hypothesis (Bumbles bounce) makes predictions (Bumbles will always bounce) and is testable (shove a Bumble off a cliff) and falsifiable (if the Bumble doesn’t bounce). In order for something to be considered scientific, it must meet these criteria. One other thing that science does is intentionally limit its explanations to the natural, material, observable world.

My estimate of our cancer patients was almost completely accurate, with 78% falling into the Group I category. What did surprise me was that more of these were Sympathetics (43%) than were Slow Oxidizers (35%). There is a widespread assumption in the alternative health community that cancer is associated with excess “acidity”, though rarely are the parameters of this supposed acidity defined. At the tissue level, cancer cells do indeed typically produce excess lactic acid, which might be expected to result in a compensatory alkalinity in the pH of the blood. The 35% of cancer cases in our survey who are Slow Oxidizers do indeed have alkaline blood, but the larger number of Sympathetics (43%) has acid blood. (Note that, for our purposes, we are using the terms acid and alkaline relative to the perceived ideal venous blood pH of 7.46; all blood is mildly alkaline in the absolute sense). Whether acid or alkaline, both of the Group I Metabolic Types require a diet lower in protein and fat and higher in complex carbohydrates. This diet helps to acidify the overly alkaline Slow Oxidizers, but alkalize the overly acidic Sympathetics (this is because, as we have already seen, foods affect members of the Oxidative and Autonomic systems in opposite ways). This dietary approach is generally in sync with the prevailing nutritional consensus for cancer patients.

(And this also includes the fungi and other kingdoms of organisms on Earth.)Prediction – In the fossil record, a continuum of organisms, including forms intermediate between large divisions of organisms may be found. Intelligent Design’s Hypothesis – The large groups of organisms are differentiated by irreducibly complex structures and are thus completely distinct.Predictions – No intermediate forms are possible in the fossil record. To test either of these hypotheses, one need to dig (literally) into the fossil record. What does the fossil record say?

Regarding the commonly-heard claim that all cancer patients are too acidic, the following is from "Diabetes, Cancer and Weight: A Metabolic Typing Survey" by Harold J. Kristal, D.D.S. with James M. Haig, N.C (below, on this webpage or ):
